On insomnia and things i do when i should be studying

Am currently reading Daphne du Maurier’s “Rebecca”. I must confess that my expectations weren’t very high to begin with, and the fact that the beginning was prosaic to say the least made them no better. But boy, was I wrong! As soon as the actual tale began to unravel i found myself captured beyond any chance of release. This was no good, since i started reading the book at about 3 a.m in the morning, hoping to spend 5 minutes with it and then go to sleep. That didn’t happen and i had to force myself to put it down at about 4:30.

The thing is, now that I think about it, the tale bares a close resemblance to Jane Eyre, and that can only add to its appeal in my book. Here in Nowhereland we adore all things Jane Eyre - notice the “we” in question, a clear sign of an early case of multiple personality disorder :P.

Well, enough rambling for now. Will return with fresh opinions as soon as the book is finished (probably really soon, considering the fact that i have exams coming up - yeah, it seems that at times like these i am most productive when it comes to reading completely random works of fiction instead of the mandatory academic masterpieces).

Ta ta!

Mari is going to love this!

‘The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats – the hobbit was fond of visitors.’

Just to set the record straight: I LOVE playing bigfish or gamehouse games. They are really fun, childish (most of them) user-friendly and most of all time-consuming - everything you would ever want from a game, really.

Gamehouse.com offers a free game everyday. You basically get to play it for free in exchange for viewing some ads, which is pretty awesome. Today’s free game is “Bilbo - The four corners of the world”.

Pretty good if you want to kill some time or, in my case, to relieve some of that exam stress which is dangerously high right now :)
